Since 2008, William Barzee has served as a Managing Partner for the nationally acclaimed legal defense firm Barzee Flores. Based out of Miami, Florida, William Barzee’s firm handles a wide variety of criminal cases, such as narcotics importation, drug trafficking, money laundering, sale of a controlled substance, and all types of fraud. The firm argues cases in both state and federal courts. Thanks to its aggressive representation strategy, Barzee Flores has won hundreds of cases.
Before forming his firm, William Barzee spent one year as a solo practitioner. Before that, he spent five years as an Assistant to the Federal Public Defender, where he handled a number of challenging white-collar trials. William Barzee began his career in 1998 as a Special Assistant Public Defender for the Office of the Public Defender in Miami-Dade County.
William Barzee spent most of his education at the University of Miami, where he proved to be an outstanding student. He began attending the University in 1984. While completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Barzee served as President of the Student Government, was a member of the Honor Council, and functioned as a Student Representative to U of M’s Board of Trustees. He completed the work on his Bachelor of Arts at Florida International University in 1991 as a member of the Phi-Lambda National Honors Fraternity.
Mr. Barzee went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, from which he graduated cum laude. During this period, he was nominated for a Law Review Book Award, and he received an American Jurisprudence Book Award. He was an Honor Council Student Advocate, a finals review student lecturer, and a member of the National Mock Trial Team.
